When a consumer places an order at the online store www.northmed.eu, the following Distance Agreement is concluded between the consumer and NORTHMED Group Ltd, Reg. No. 40203240283, legal address: Džūkstes iela 3, Riga, LV-1004, email for correspondence: info@northmed.eu, contact phone: +371 22 727 575 (hereinafter – NORTHMED Group Ltd or the Seller).
1. General provisions
1.1. These Distance Agreement terms are binding on all consumers who have placed an order at the online store www.northmed.eu.
1.2. At the time of placing an order, the consumer confirms that they have read these Distance Agreement terms and agree to them.
1.3. The consumer is not entitled to place an order at the online store www.northmed.eu if they have not read these Distance Agreement terms or do not agree to them.
1.4. The main characteristics of the goods and their prices are indicated in the online store www.northmed.eu and are available before placing an order.
2. Placing orders
2.1. Both registered and unregistered users can place orders at the online store www.northmed.eu.
2.2. The consumer is obliged to follow the necessary steps of the order process, filling in or verifying the information requested at each step.
2.3. If an order is placed at the online store www.northmed.eu by an unregistered user, they must provide all necessary information.
2.4. If a registered user has already logged into their profile, the information required for placing the order must be supplemented with the missing information.
2.5. The agreement or transaction is concluded at the moment when payment for it has been made, after which a document confirming the order (delivery note) is sent to the consumer’s specified email address.
3. Prices and payment procedure
3.1. Prices of goods in the online store www.northmed.eu are indicated in euros (EUR).
3.2. The price indicated including value added tax includes the value added tax rate specified in the applicable laws. The price excluding the value added tax rate is also indicated for information purposes.
3.3. The price does not include delivery costs.
3.4. Prices indicated in the online store www.northmed.eu may differ from the prices of goods at NORTHMED Group Ltd stores.
3.5. Goods are sold at the prices valid at the time of placing the order.
3.6. The Seller has the right to change the prices of goods without prior notice.
3.7. Orders can be paid via internet banking, payment cards, or an online payment system, provided the consumer agrees to the terms of service of the specific credit institution and/or payment card issuer, as well as the online payment system.
4. Order fulfilment
4.1. Orders placed at the online store www.northmed.eu are processed on working days from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
4.2. Consumers will receive an informative email about the status of order fulfilment.
5. Delivery of goods
5.1. Goods are delivered within the territory of the Republic of Latvia and internationally, using courier and postal services chosen by NORTHMED Group Ltd, including DHL, UPS, FEDEX and LATVIJAS PASTS. The consumer is responsible for providing accurate delivery information.
5.2. Orders are processed on working days. NORTHMED Group Ltd usually dispatches orders within one working day after payment confirmation. During peak periods, order dispatch may take from one to eight working days.
5.3. Delivery time depends on the destination country and the chosen delivery service. Delivery within the territory of Latvia is usually carried out within one to five working days. International deliveries are usually carried out within 10–14 working days. Delivery deadlines may be extended due to goods unavailability, customs procedures or courier delays.
5.4. Delivery costs depend on the country of delivery, the chosen courier service and the order amount. Delivery costs are calculated and indicated before order confirmation and payment. Orders over EUR 200 are subject to free delivery.
5.5. The order must be received by the recipient indicated in the order. Upon receiving the goods, the customer may be asked to present the order number and an identification document.
5.6. At the time of delivery, the buyer is obliged to verify that the delivered goods correspond to the order and that the packaging is not visibly damaged.
5.7. If delivery is not possible due to the consumer’s fault, including due to an incorrectly specified address or the client being unreachable, the shipment may be returned to NORTHMED Group Ltd or redirected for redelivery at the consumer’s expense.
5.8. Depending on the availability of goods and the chosen delivery method, goods may also be received at any of NORTHMED Group Ltd’s branches, if such option is offered during the ordering process.
5.9. For deliveries outside the European Union, additional customs duties, import fees or other charges may apply in accordance with the laws of the recipient country. Such costs shall be borne by the consumer.
6. Right of withdrawal
6.1. The buyer – a consumer (natural person) has the right of withdrawal in accordance with the Consumer Rights Protection Law.
6.2. The consumer may exercise the right of withdrawal and unilaterally withdraw from the Distance Agreement within 14 days from the day the consumer received the order, without stating a reason for withdrawal. The buyer cannot exercise the right of withdrawal if they have opened the packaging of a product that, for health or hygiene reasons, cannot be returned. The consumer is liable for any diminished value of the goods. The Seller has the right not to accept the returned product if it is damaged or shows signs of use.
6.3. The consumer may exercise the right of withdrawal regarding an order placed at the online store www.northmed.eu within 14 days from the moment the consumer received it, by completing the withdrawal form available at the online store www.northmed.eu.
6.4. The goods must be returned to the Seller no later than 14 days after submitting the withdrawal form or the notice of exercising the right of withdrawal, by sending them to the address: Džūkstes iela 3, Riga, LV-1004.
6.5. The return costs shall be borne by the consumer.
6.6. NORTHMED Group Ltd shall refund the received order payment, including delivery costs, no later than 14 days after receiving the returned goods.
6.7. The refund to the customer will be made using the same means of payment as the customer used for the initial transaction.
7. Warranty and complaints
7.1. With respect to goods purchased by consumers, in accordance with the laws and regulations, the Seller is liable for the conformity of the ordered goods with the contract terms for two years from the date of delivery.
7.2. If goods that do not comply with the contract terms are received, the Seller, at its own expense, shall transport them for defect remedy or exchange.
7.3. The consumer may submit a complaint in writing via email: info@northmed.eu.
8. Data processing
8.1. The consumer’s personal data are processed for the purpose of contract performance and in accordance with NORTHMED Group Ltd’s Privacy Policy, available at the online store www.northmed.eu.
9. Dispute resolution
9.1. Disputes shall first be resolved through negotiations by contacting NORTHMED Group Ltd by phone at +371 22 727 575 or by email at info@northmed.eu.
9.2. If no agreement is reached, the consumer has the right to address the Consumer Rights Protection Centre or a court in accordance with the laws and regulations.
10. Order cancellation
10.1. An order may be cancelled within 2 hours from the moment it was placed by contacting NORTHMED Group Ltd by phone at +371 22 727 575 or by email at info@northmed.eu.
10.2. The order is considered cancelled when a confirmation notice has been received.
10.3. Order cancellation is not possible if its fulfilment has already commenced.
10.4. In the event of order cancellation, NORTHMED Group Ltd shall refund the received order payment, including delivery costs, no later than 5 working days after receiving the notice of order cancellation.
10.5. The refund will be made using the same means of payment as the consumer used for the initial transaction.
